Rich in the finest Maine summer camp traditions, Kamp Kohut has provided a magnificent setting and a wholesome environment for enriching children’s lives since 1907. Our values-based program is carefully structured to promote a warm and welcoming camp community. Outstanding attention to campers’ well-being and to high quality instruction are the hallmarks of our comprehensive and spirited 4-week brother-sister program, designed to nurture lifelong friendships, skills and memories.
Kohut is surrounded by sprawling woods, lush fields, regal pine trees and a truly spectacular waterfront. We are incredibly lucky to have such a beautiful camp. Of course, the most beautiful camp in the whole world (and we think we come pretty close!), means nothing without the right people.
Kamp Kohut is a warm, friendly community of people from all over the United States and the world. Our diverse population chooses to come to Kohut because of the nice people and dynamic program, as well as the beautiful setting. Each 4-week session averages 100 boys and 100 girls aged 7 to 15 (entering 3rd grade through entering 10th grade), and approximately 95 resident staff (120+ staff in all).
