Dear Kohut Family,

Happy Spring!! How exciting to be writing to you in April with the camp season less than 90 days away! Planning is full speed ahead in the “winter” office — it’s been lovely to see camper forms being submitted. Thank you for your time and attention to complete them; they are so very helpful as we hone in on summer details. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

We are writing today to ask your immediate attention to the issue of COVID-19 vaccinations.  As you know, the health, safety and well-being of our Kamp community is of utmost importance to us.  All staff will be required to be vaccinated.  Based on the advice of our healthcare team, we continue to recommend and highly encourage all campers to be vaccinated against COVID-19, however, we have decided not to mandate a COVID-19 vaccination for campers.

More details regarding COVID protocols will be shared as soon as possible, as we collect data from our community, follow the science, and get advice from our healthcare team.  Our goal is for Kamp to be back to as “normal” as possible while operating safely. At this time, we anticipate requiring testing pre-arrival, upon arrival, and some days into camp. Parents will have an opportunity to go onto campus on Departure Day; Arrival Day 2022 will be drop off only.  As we know more, we will share more. Thank you for your patience as we work hard to provide the best experience possible for your child and our community.

We hope this finds you and your family healthy and happy. We can’t wait to see everyone!

Wishing you all the best,

Lisa, Dan, and the Kohut Team
