With high school graduations and ceremonies cancelled or gone virtual due to the ongoing pandemic, we at Kamp Kohut wanted to give our former kampers some well-earned recognition for completing this educational milestone. We asked them to fill us in on what they’ve been up to and/or are planning post-graduation. Below is what they (or their proud parents) have told us.

The Kohut Family is so proud of the achievements of these young men and women. We look forward to following their future successes!

Dana Herrnstadt was busy throughout her high school years. She was the Editor of the School Newspaper, was involved in Theater and Speech, and enjoyed Rec Soccer. This fall, Dana will be attending Brown University!

Reggi Condos is going to the Clive Davis Institute of Music at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He received honorable mention for his four year commitment to the Boys’ Varsity Soccer Team, where they specifically highlighted his leadership skills. He also started his high school’s first ever Chess Club which quickly became a success having 20+ members! Reggi wrote and produced several songs for his Senior Project.

Alexa Herron will be attending New York University in the fall and majoring in Psychology. She hopes to become a Trauma Psychologist for children who come from abusive homes. Alexa has spent her last two summers teaching English to elementary school students in Tanzania and Ghana. Once travel restrictions are lifted, she plans on returning to Ghana to continue the work of her nonprofit organization, A Journey to Educate for Life, which helps young girls who have experienced abuse.

Jessica Levine will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall as a Liberal Arts major (LSA). Jess’s high school activities included Varsity Football Cheer Leading, Varsity Track and Field, Varsity Gymnastics and Varsity Baseball Manager. She was a Discipline Council Prefect and in the National Honor Society. Outside of school she was a participant in the Maine Coast Semester at Chewonki, Semester 62.
