Happy 4th of July to the Kohut Family!
It is a Kamp tradition that at morning flagpole on the 4th of July we take a few moments to reflect on some of the values and principles upon which America was built, and how we in our Kohut community – including our international members – embody them.
We talk about being respectful and kind to others, and listening to other peoples’ opinions, even if we may disagree. We talk about our freedoms and the importance of inclusion, equality, and peaceful coexistence. We also stress that America is built on hope and change: we hope we can make America a better place for everyone to live, and we know we have the right and power to make positive change.
But even more important than talk is the way we act.
Even though we won’t be at morning flagpole on this 4th of July, we hope you’ll continue the tradition of thinking about what makes us proud as Americans and how our actions reflect our American – and Kohut’s – values and principles.
We look forward to celebrating with you in person on July 4th, 2021!
