Dana – Waterfront Director
A former Kohut kamper for many years, Dana grew up waterskiing not just at Kohut but at home on Lake Champlain in Vermont. She has worked at Kohut for the past two summers, teaching waterskiing then becoming the Head of Waterski. Dana studies International Relations at Tufts University in Massachusetts and just recently spent a semester abroad studying in Paris, France. During the winter Dana is on the alpine ski team at Tufts and teaches skiing to children ages 3-11.
Bronte – Assistant Head of the Waterfront
Bronte returns to Kohut for her third summer on the waterfront. She has been kayaking since she was 12 years old and has represented New Zealand four times in international kayaking competitions. Bronte also played for her university’s varsity Canoe Polo team.
Simon – Crew
Simon has been rowing since he was 14 and is now on the crew team for his University in the UK. Last year Simon rows at the Henley Royal Regatta and represented Great Britain on the National Junior Rowing Team. Simon trains 20 hours per week while also going to school. He coaches new rowers both at University and in a local school district. Simon has represented Durham University on the Senior Boys Squad National Performance Center as well
Abi – Head of Sailing
Abi has been sailing every summer with her since she can remember. She has completed her Royal Yachting Association Levels One and Two, as well as her Competent Crew yacht sailing qualification in the UK. Abi competes for a youth yacht sailing team, which has brought her to races from the Isle of White to Cherbourg, France. Abi is a Girl Guiding group leader and worked this past winter at two schools – one in Spain and one in France. Also, a fun little fact, Abi’s sister Alex worked at Kohut in summer 2014!
